Informal or organised trips take place throughout the year.  The merry bunch on the left were arriving for a Beaujolais Nouveau evening in Blackpool (the weather was much better there!). Below a cartoon gives an idea of the interesting weather on a September trip to Jaca in the Spanish Pyrenees.

 

There are around 20 private powered aircraft based at Bidford with a small queue for hangarage. They are 2/4 seat aircraft used for pleasure flying and UK/European touring.  They include several Cubs, Jodels, Rallyes, Robins, Chipmunk, Rans, Europas, Auster, Tiger Moth and TB20.  Nearly all are maintained by the on-site Maintenance Workshop 

 

 

 

 

 

Internet access in the office gives UK and European weather forecasts and we are happy to fax your flight plan for you. Click to for Flight Plan Form (CA48) requires Adobe Acrobat reader.  Both HM Customs and Immigration visited the airfield in 2002, and we will help file the small amount of paperwork required for all to run smoothly.

Customs visited us once in 2003 just to say hello and understand what we get up to.  They gave us a new General Aviation Report form that in one fell swoop tells everyone that needs to know about your movements (of course you still need a flight plan), copies are available in the office or if you have Microsoft Word download here Flight Notification form1
