Bidford Gliding is based at a pretty grass airfield located between the Midlands & the Cotswolds in the Vale of Evesham. We are within easy reach of Birmingham, Stratford Upon Avon, Cheltenham and Worcester.

Bidford is an active gliding site where gliders are launched by aerotow i.e. behind another aeroplane. We have a busy training operation and there are also many private gliders based here. Weather permitting, the club operates 7 days a week. Visitors and new members are always welcome and we offer Trial Flights for those who are interested in learning to glide or simply just want to have a go!  If you want to treat someone to a glider experience, Gift Vouchers are available too.

As well as the gliding club, there are several small powered aircraft based at Bidford, which adds to the aviation atmosphere. In the clubhouse, to keep you refreshed, there is a café and for the evenings, a bar. And if you want to extend your stay, there is also a caravan site with shower facilities.

We have members from all corners of the country, from Kent to Cambridgeshire, and from Somerset to Derbyshire.  They come along and fly during the day, and socialise during the evening. They have caravans on site to stay in, so there is never any problem with driving, or finding somewhere to stay.  If you want to join us, there are still some spots available for those with a caravan.  We do also have club caravans, which although cannot be described as new (or even nearly new), they do afford someone a dry night once the drink-drive limit is reached.
