Flying operations at Bidford, like any other gliding club, revolve around the Instructors.  Most give their time voluntarily as they wish to impart their knowledge to the next generation of pilots, whilst also helping their club. 

We have, in the last year trained and completed three new Basic Instructors, and are now training next season's new BI's.  We are also training 3 BI's to become Assistant Rated this year.

To encourage and motivate voluntary instructors, we have also added an incentive scheme, whereby part/all of their membership cost can be paid.  This is already proving very popular, and despite the poor weather over the summer, two instructors have had 50% of their membership put back into their account.  Well done Keith Brackstone and Alan Wallace!
