Training Costs
Full gliding membership of the club is £426 for the year 1st April 2010 – 31st March 2011. (In following years, reduced rates are offered with prompt renewal.) This is pro-rata, so if you join part way through the membership year, the rate is reduced accordingly. This includes your subscription to the British Gliding Association.
As well as membership, you need to pay for your flying. There are two options as follows:
Attending a Course
You book your time with an instructor, and he/she is yours for the time you have booked. Options are...
| Course | Time Span |
Cost |
|---|---|---|
| The Intensive Improver | Half Day (9.00 - 13.00) | £100 |
| One to One Day Course | Full Day (9.00 - 16.00) | £160 |
| Learn To Fly Course | One week (Mon-Fri) | £600 |
For more information on the courses, see our Courses page.
Pay As You Go
You turn up at the club and put your name on the waiting list. As with the courses, there are no tuition fees so you just pay for the height of the tow that you take and the minutes that you spend flying the glider. Currently the costs are....
